  • For all-day events, an '18 Holes' option is available to those who wish to play only the afternoon singles Stableford followed by the evening meal.

  • To enroll for a strokeplay event, send an e-mail to the organiser including your current handicap.

  • Enrolments must be received at least five days before the event.

Competition Rules

  • 18-hole Stableford singles competition:
    • Members play off the lower of their current club and society handicaps
    • Ladies' handicaps are adjusted to take into account any differences between ladies' and men's SSS and/or pars for the course.
    • Ties are resolved firstly by countback over the last nine holes and, if scores are still level, by countback over the last six holes. Finally, if necessary, countback is over the last 3, 2, and 1 holes.

  • 9- or 18-hole Greensomes competition:
    • Each pair plays off 3/8 combined handicaps.

  • Prizes are awarded on the day to the winner and runner up of the Stableford singles competition and to the winning pair of the morning team competition at 36 hole events. No prizes are given for 9 hole competitions. There is also a 2's Charity Sweep and Nearest the Pin competition for singles events.

Trophies

Strokeplay trophies are awarded as a result of performance in the 18-hole singles Stableford competitions in the 14 main events of the season, including the AGM but excluding the Winter Warmer. The Trophy pages give the current standings; the Trophy Room shows the qualification criteria and the current holder of each trophy.
